Grovtre makes tables and desks from solid boards, not veneered panels. The workshop buys standing timber from certified European forestry, air-dries it for two winters and finishes with hardwax oil, so a scratch can be spot-repaired rather than resurfaced.
Tops are through-tenoned into their legs and can be taken apart flat, which is the difference between a table that moves house and a table that gets left behind.
A complete working corner for a room that is also used for other things: desk, chair, task light, and a tray to put the day away in. Priced as a set and currently reduced, so you save twice over.
Upgrades are charged as a share of the set price rather than a flat amount, so the maths stays proportional if the set price moves.
