Nordhem

Nordhem has built upholstered furniture in Jämtland since 1948, starting with dining chairs for the region's school canteens. The workshop still sits on the same site, and still makes frames from local pine and birch.

Every seat is built around a jointed hardwood frame rather than a stapled one, which is what makes the covers worth replacing: Nordhem stocks replacement covers for ten years after a model leaves the catalogue, and will re-web a frame at any point in its life.
